Thermography imaging is one of the most effective non-invasive tools for identifying electrical faults before they cause fires, failures, or unplanned outages. The ASN Prashar team uses professional infrared cameras to scan energised installations and deliver written reports with delta-T fault grading and prioritised recommendations β€” consistent with AS/NZS 3000:2018 and AS/NZS 3017:2007 verification guidelines.

THERMAL SCANNING

Thermal scanning uses professional-grade infrared cameras to detect hidden electrical faults β€” overloaded conductors, loose or corroded terminations, and failing components β€” without taking the installation out of service. Findings are graded by temperature differential (delta-T) against ambient conditions, consistent with AS/NZS 3000:2018 and AS/NZS 3017:2007 verification principles.

SWITCHBOARD THERMAL IMAGING

Switchboards β€” including main switchboards (MSB), sub-main switchboards (SMS), and distribution boards (DB) β€” concentrate the highest electrical loads and are the most common source of connection failures and electrical fires in commercial and industrial premises. We scan all switchboard components under full operating load, grading faults by delta-T temperature differential for accurate prioritisation.
